So we did it, I was going to post updates but we had to slow our pace as Bertie started to get stiff and developed a limp. She has really enjoyed the extra walks, but whilst I am trotting along, she’s been swimming, galloping and digging and likely completed the 43 mile target in 2 days.
However, together we did it 8 days and over the month we completed over 100 miles just from our little dog walks.

My family and friends have been brilliant, some have organised planned walks to get the mileage done and so many donated money.
My lovely mum sorted out T shirts with the blog logo on and we walked round Mallards Pike in Gloucestershire with Bertie proudly wearing them.
Over the month, we raised £900 (which is >£1,000 with gift aid), just walking the dog.
I came home last night to a letter from my local MP thanking me for my efforts and it made me proud of myself. A thank you does go a long way and being seen and show casing you have done something good makes me smile.
Thank you all for your support, I’m currently awaiting a call to book my CT scan for my Year 3 tests. The bowel cancer marker blood test has said that I’m fine and still clear. So fingers crossed another fundraiser, another time – hopefully with my furry sidekick firmly by my side.
